Since August 2019, ABConservation has launched a project to help in the renovation of the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (PWRCC). In the context of this program, which is expected to last several years, volunteers are welcomed in Palawan by ABConservation’s team and PWRCC staff to carry out construction work in this wildlife rescue center.
Since the beginning of her volunteering mission in Palawan in 2018, our scientific officer, Agathe, has been involved in another local organization: the Palawan Animal Welfare Foundation.
Founded and entirely managed by a Belgium woman, Jacqueline Baut, with inexhaustible resources, this organization is working in the improvement of the welfare in Palawan of the stray cats and dogs, but also of farm animals.
In December, Murielle trained on environmental education (EE) several teachers of the PSU (Palawan State University) with the help of Agathe and Katherine of the PCSD. It was a two days training from December 9th to December 10th.
On October 28th and 29th, Murielle, our education officer, did a one-hour training session each day for science teachers of the Holy Trinity University (HTU).
From October 15th to 17th, I attended the 12th International Conference and Scientific Meeting organized by the Philippine Network of Educators on Environment (PNEE), in Puerto Princesa.
