News from the field

  • by

Our field team has been busy since September! 😁 Thanks in no small part to Marlon. This first name may be familiar to you if you've been following us for a while. After all, Marlon has worked with us before. 🐾 He was part of the team from 2017 to 2019 for the study in Langogan. His previous experience with ABConservation and his knowledge of the forest are very useful to the current team. 💡 He is heavily involved in the training of our two young forest guides. In September, the 3 boys continued to explore the study area. In spite of the rain, they identified new trees for the installation of camera traps. 📸 Then, at the beginning of October, some long-awaited equipment finally arrived from Europe! It was our collar for the radio-tracking study and new camera traps. At the moment, the trio are out in the field again, setting additional camera traps, collecting data from those already set, and testing the GPS collar. We're excited about the next steps! 🙌
