News from the orchard

  • by

Gustave and Eva, two agronomy students, made the bold decision to join our Philippine team in 2023 as volunteers for a three-month mission, from mid-February to mid-May. Their goal was to establish an orchard at the Palawan Wildlife Rescue & Conservation Center (PWRCC) to ensure food security for the animals. This initiative aimed to enhance the well-being of our protected inhabitants. 💡

Without a doubt, Gustave and Eva have accomplished remarkable work. They gave their all, working diligently to improve the quality of life for the animals residing at the center. 🙏

Today, the orchard project continues under the guidance of Romain and with the contributions of many other volunteers, including students from Palawan State University. We extend warm thanks to them for their involvement and dedication.

We are also thrilled to welcome new volunteers who have taken over the care and expansion of the orchard. 💪 Among them, Eve and Kaisen stand out, successfully tending to the banana trees, potatoes, and beans, thus ensuring the nutritional well-being of the animals. Their work has been of immeasurable value for the ongoing success of our program.

It is heartening to see many other volunteers joining this noble cause. Their commitment strengthens our determination to preserve biodiversity and protect endangered animals. Together, we are stronger than ever, and every contribution matters in achieving our mission.🥰

A huge thank you to all our volunteers for their commitment, perseverance, and dedication to ABConservation.
