News from the field

By ABConservation - Updated on 2022/11/30

This month, our scientific team went to a brand new study site which is more than 8000 hectares wide, the Palawan Flora and Fauna Watershed Reserve (PFFWR). This site visit was organised in partnership with the City ENRO, which is supporting us on the Bearcat Study Program. The objectives: meeting with guides and locals to discuss the methodology used (installation of camera traps in the trees, then radiotracking of binturongs) and becoming familiar with the area for this next study. Until the end of the year, the team will focus on this new site to set up all the cameras and train the guides.
Jusqu’à la fin de l’année, l’équipe se concentrera sur ce nouveau site pour y installer toutes les caméras et former les guides.
