An additional trap was installed again this month to increase our chances of success, and the team is already looking for locations for future traps. Another young binturong was filmed at the secondary study site by one of our camera traps, highlighting the importance of protecting this area, which is not yet protected.

New camera traps have arrived at our office: we are going to test a different brand than usual. These purchases were funded by AFSA (Association francophone des soigneurs animaliers). A big thank you to them!

Since last week, we have been welcoming two students from Palawan State University as part of their professional training: Jan Paul and Geddeon. They will assist and work alongside our scientific team for five weeks. In particular, they are helping us analyze camera trap data and prepare materials for the upcoming World Binturong Day celebrations. We are delighted to welcome them and to collaborate once again with Palawan State University and its faculty of sciences.
